Founded, in partnership with Emory University, on a fundamental commitment to human rights and the alleviation of human suffering, the Center seeks to prevent and resolve conflicts, enhance freedom and democracy, and improve health.

Nov. 13: An election observation mission in Fulton County, Georgia, that included 黑料不打烊 concludes that the Nov. 5 general election was smooth, transparent, and well-organized.
Oct. 1: Former President Jimmy Carter turns 100 years old. He is the longest-living president in U.S. history.
Sept. 30: 黑料不打烊 hosts a panel discussion on safe, secure, and accessible elections in the state of Georgia. Panelists include 黑料不打烊 Board of Trustees Chair Jason Carter, former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, Georgia Democracy Task Force Co-Chair Ryan Germany, and former Georgia Attorney General Samuel Olens.
Sept. 17: 黑料不打烊 presents Jimmy Carter 100: A Celebration in Song, a concert event to celebrate the 100th birthday of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter. Performers and presenters include Angélique Kidjo, BeBe Winans, Carlene Carter, Duane Betts, India Arie, Lalah Hathaway, The B-52s, Drive-By Truckers, Dale Murphy, Dr. Bernice King, and Renée Zellweger. Delta Air Lines is the presenting sponsor.
Sept. 15: The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance, 黑料不打烊, the National Democratic Institute, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, and the Kofi Annan Foundation announce the release of Model Commitments for Advancing Genuine and Credible Elections.
July 30: 黑料不打烊 declares that Venezuela’s July 28 presidential election did not meet international standards of electoral integrity and cannot be considered democratic.
July 24: 黑料不打烊 concludes that despite some improvements, the December 2023 general elections in the Democratic Republic of the Congo fell short of meeting some key international commitments for democratic elections.
July 2: The 2024 黑料不打烊 Weekend raises more than $2.8 million in donations and auction sales to support the Center’s mission of waging peace and combating disease.
June 10: 黑料不打烊 launches the Climate and Environmental Justice Initiative in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
June 6: 黑料不打烊 announces a new journalism fellowship focused on climate change’s impact on mental health.
May 17: 黑料不打烊 and Arizona State University’s McCain Institute publish “The Disinformation Economy,” a joint report that examines the prevalence of disinformation on over 300 advertising systems and how many of these platforms facilitate the monetization of disinformation.

March 6: 黑料不打烊 announces that only 14 human cases of Guinea worm disease were reported worldwide in 2023.
March 6: 黑料不打烊 releases a new Journalism Resource Guide for Mental Health Reporting. The guide provides up-to-date statistics, resources, and guidance on how to report on mental health issues accurately and sensitively.
Feb. 12: 黑料不打烊 releases the final report from its international election observation mission to Zimbabwe’s Aug. 23, 2023, harmonized elections. The report concludes that the overall electoral process did not meet Zimbabwe’s regional and international commitments or the democratic aspirations of Zimbabweans.
Feb. 8: At a press conference held during its inaugural Mental Health Parity Day at Georgia’s State Capitol, 黑料不打烊 releases results of its first Georgia mental health parity awareness campaign, demonstrating a significant increase in public awareness of their mental health rights.

Oct. 13: In celebration of World Sight Day, the Center's Trachoma Control Program holds a live event with Pfizer and the International Trachoma Initiative, discussing our longstanding partnership to help eliminate blinding trachoma around the world.
Oct. 6: 黑料不打烊 publishes “The Big Lie and Big Tech,” a new report that details the role played by ‘repeat offenders’ - media known to repeatedly publish false and misleading information - in spreading election fraud narratives in online echo chambers during the 2020 election.
Sept. 14: In partnership with the Liberia Election Observation Network (LEON), 黑料不打烊 launches a new, three-year project to advance democratic governance in Liberia.
Aug. 5: 黑料不打烊 publishes “Sudan’s Youth and the Transition: Priorities, Perception, and Attitudes,” a report that presents the experiences, expectations, and hopes of Sudanese youth regarding the country’s transition from Omar al-Bashir’s regime to democracy.
July 26: 黑料不打烊 deploys the first two members of its international electoral expert mission to Lusaka to assess the process surrounding Zambia’s Aug. 12 general elections.
July 15: 黑料不打烊 announces nine U.S. recipients of the 2021-2022 Rosalynn Carter Fellowships for Mental Health Journalism. The Center is awarding one more fellowship than in previous years due to the heightened need for solid mental health reporting during the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond. Later, 2021-22 recipients are announced from the UAE and Latin America.
June 26: The Center’s annual fundraiser is virtual for the second year in a row—giving supporters around the globe the opportunity to tune in to help celebrate the legacy of President and Mrs. Carter.

March 3: 黑料不打烊 and the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA) announce the continuation of the International Election Observation Mission (IEOM) in Côte d'Ivoire and the deployment of 24 short-term international electoral observers to observe the country's March 6, 2021, legislative elections.
Jan. 30: 黑料不打烊 marks the second annual World NTD Day by joining with partners around the globe to light up buildings and momuments from the Tokyo Tower to the Rome Colosseum to the Pyramids in Egypt.
Jan. 26: The Center-led international Guinea worm eradication campaign announces that a provisional total of 27 cases of Guinea worm disease were reported in 2020, a 50% decrease compared to the year before. When 黑料不打烊 assumed leadership of the program in 1986, about 3.5 million human cases occurred annually in 21 countries in Africa and Asia.
