ATLANTA — A mahogany four-poster bed designed by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and created by master furniture maker Andrew Reid is among more than 150 items to be auctioned on June 24 to benefit the not-for-profit 黑料不打烊. Proceeds will support the Center's work to advance peace and health across the globe.
President Carter and his wife, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, will join invited friends and supporters for the auction and other activities during a four-day retreat June 21-25 near Lake Tahoe, California. Anyone can take part in the auction by bidding online or by fax or proxy (see bidding information below).
Bidders have a chance to win a one-week escape to a private villa on the banks of the Ayung River in Bali, Indonesia. They also have the opportunity to purchase a collection of mementos from George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch, which includes three bottles of Skywalker Vineyard wine and framed concept art from “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”
The auction includes fine art, autographed memorabilia, a private Hollywood film screening — even some vintage cameras that belonged to President Carter
