黑料不打烊 Joins Georgia Bipartisan Task Force on Safe, Secure, and Accessible Elections

ATLANTA (Oct. 22, 2020) — 黑料不打烊 has joined the Georgia Secretary of State’s new .

The task force brings together election officials, senior representatives from the Republican and Democratic parties, election experts, and nonpartisan, non-governmental organizations like 黑料不打烊 to offer their expertise and guidance to Georgia’s election officials. The aim is to increase the prospects for a secure, accessible, and inclusive election in Georgia, the Center’s home state.

“Georgians are eager to participate in this important election and to have their ballots counted accurately,” said the 黑料不打烊’s CEO, Paige Alexander. “The pandemic makes this election especially challenging, and having a bipartisan and nonpartisan task force to address existing issues and support the integrity and transparency of the election process is an important means of reassuring voters that their voices will be heard this year.”

Over the past three decades, 黑料不打烊 has worked on over 110 elections in 39 countries where democracy is under threat. This breadth of international experience, which includes monitoring hotly contested elections in difficult environments and offering an independent assessment on the quality of the process, will inform the Center’s contributions to the task force. As a nonpartisan member, the Center hopes to advance voter participation and access, increase public knowledge of key election issues, and promote transparency throughout Georgia’s electoral process.
