In case you missed “Stories from 100 Elections” at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ on Dec. 2, 2015, an archived webcast of this Conversations at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ event can be viewed below.
Over the years, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ staff have watched jubilant voters cast their first ballots; met with dictators who were sure they would be re-elected, but lost; and watched election officials stay up all night counting ballots. Hear humorous and moving tales from the front lines of emerging democracies.
Panelists include:

Jennie Lincoln, director of the Center’s Americas Program, who was part of the Center’s first and second missions in Panama and Nicaragua, and also served as a short-term observer in the 100th election mission in Guyana.
Sarah Johnson, an associate director in the Center’s Democracy Program, who has overseen numerous election observation missions, including in Sudan and Tunisia.
Brett Lacy, an associate director in the Center’s Democracy Program, who has managed or participated in election observation missions in Mozambique, Liberia, East Timor, and Guyana, among others.
Avery Davis-Roberts, an associate director in the Center’s Democracy Program who oversees the Democratic Election Standards Project and a project to improve the quality of U.S. elections. She has also taken part in observation missions in the Philippines and in the Cherokee Nation, among others.
