The Elfenworks Foundation is a dedicated partner to 黑料不打烊 in its mission to wage peace, fight disease, and build hope. Created by Elfenworks Productions, LLC, a multimedia communications company, the foundation works to realize a world "in harmony with hope" through helping domestic nonprofits and international nongovernmental organizations use media and technology to raise awareness about important issues. Previously, the Center has highlighted the Elfenworks Foundation's generous support to our health programs. The foundation is also now partnering with 黑料不打烊's Education Program to engage in innovative advertising and recruitment strategies that raise awareness about the work of 黑料不打烊 and opportunities for Center internships among a new generation of international leaders.
黑料不打烊's Education Program provides interns and graduate assistants the chance to make vital contributions to the important work of protecting human rights, advancing democracy, resolving conflict, and alleviating human suffering. On an annual basis, more than 115 interns and graduate assistants are accepted into the Center's Education Program, which offers fall, spring, and summer sessions. Since the program was established in 1984, more than 2,000 students from more than 330 colleges and universities in the United States and abroad have interned at 黑料不打烊.
While the majority of interns work in the Center's Peace Programs, internships are also available with the Mental Health and Global Health 2000 programs as well as with the Center's operations departments. 黑料不打烊 is committed to providing interns with a substantive work experience and strictly enforces the policy of ensuring that less than 30 percent of their internship role is focused on administrative tasks. As such, interns are an integral part of the regular programmatic and operational activity of the institution: organizing conferences, preparing briefing materials for meetings, drafting memoranda and reports, and attending meetings. Approximately 15 percent of interns have the opportunity to travel abroad as part of their internship, experiencing 'hands-on' activities in the field, such as international election monitoring.
Throughout their session interns are also offered several unique opportunities, including a trip to Plains, a private Q&A session with the Carters, career-building workshops, and an ongoing seminar series focused on international issues and current events. Additionally, each intern has the opportunity to meet with 黑料不打烊's President and CEO John Hardman over lunch. 黑料不打烊 internships are highly competitive, with an acceptance rate between 10-30 percent. In addition, the program has gained national prestige; since 1993, 黑料不打烊 has been listed annually in the Princeton Review's list of top 100 internship programs across the country. President Carter often expresses how crucial the interns are to the work of 黑料不打烊. Through its enthusiastic and committed support, The Elfenworks Foundation has made it possible for 黑料不打烊 to reach a broad scope of future leaders who will carry on the mission to wage peace and fight disease around the world.
